The beautiful city of Savanna, deep in the heart of the southern United States, welcomes the first, full Del Sol store to Georgia. The store is located on historic River Street near the famous City Market. Within one mile of the store location, are 35 hotels. Savannah was founded in 1733 and is known as America’s First Planned City. It is a city centered on squares, 21 of which still exist today. There are numerous civil war military forts and battle sites in the area. Savannah is known to host the 3rd largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade and festivals in the world – behind only Dublin, Ireland and New York, New York. Savannah’s close proximity to the water, by way of Tybee Island (also known as Savannah’s Beach), makes it perfect for typical beach going and water activities. The Savannah River fuels the nation’s fourth largest and fastest-growing shipping port, the Port of Savannah.
Books on Bay
Books on Bay provides a unique shopping experience for book lovers. Tucked away on Bay Street just below The Attic Antiques, the shop has thousands of books from the 1700s to the late1900s. Categories include both the traditional (“Mystery,” “Religious”) and the unusual (“Aviation,” “Authors You Should Recognize”). You’ll find all of your favorites–McGuffey’s Readers, Nancy Drew, Dick and Jane, Zane Grey, The Happy Hollisters, and more! Books on Bay opens Mondays thru Saturdays at 10, Sundays at 12.
